Pennsylvania Kiwanis Foundation Scholarships
Since its inception in 1985, the Pennsylvania Kiwanis Foundation’s Scholarship Program has awarded over $400,000 in scholarships and grants to over 250 individuals. Each year the Pennsylvania Kiwanis Foundation awards scholarships for Key Club and Circle K members.
Circle K Scholarship – One Year
The Circle K Scholarship was designed to provide recognition to a Circle K Member of the Pennsylvania District of Circle K International. The recipient of this scholarship shall be a current student that has demonstrated leadership abilities, provided service to others, and achieved academic excellence. In addition, the recipient shall be of high moral character and striving for excellence in all their endeavors.
Don and Myrt Neiman Endowed Graduate Scholarship – One Year
The Don and Myrt Neiman Endowed Scholarship was designed to provide recognition to a graduate student who is a current or former member of the Pennsylvania Kiwanis Family who is or will pursue an advanced degree, preferably in journalism or music. Don Neiman was a long time member of the Glenside Kiwanis Club and a member of the Pennsylvania Kiwanis Foundation Board. The recipient of this scholarship shall be an upcoming or current graduate student that has demonstrated leadership abilities, provided service to others, achieved academic excellence, and does not qualify for other scholarships offered by the Pennsylvania Kiwanis Foundation. In addition, the recipient shall be of high moral character and striving for excellence in all their endeavors.
Circle K International Scholarships
Scholarships from the Kiwanis Children’s Fund are designed to help members of Circle K International and graduating members of Key Club International. The Children’s Fund appreciates the generous donors whose dedication to the Kiwanis family and education makes these scholarships possible. Please visit the FAQs for more information.
Scholarship applications are posted November 1. Application submissions are due February 1.
Kiwanis Children’s Fund Scholarship
The Kiwanis Children’s Fund Scholarship is made possible by donations made in memory of J. Walker Field, David W. Hancock, Harry S. Himmel, Andrew Reardon, Stephen A. Sapaugh, Florence Skomba, and Robert Thal. These donations were made to provide one scholarship opportunity to a deserving member in good standing of Circle K International. Two (2) scholarships will be awarded with a minimum award amount of US$2,500 each. The exact amount will be determined closer to the award date.
John E. Mayfield Circle K Scholarship
Former Kiwanis Children’s Fund President John E. Mayfield was a generous philanthropist and enthusiastic supporter of Kiwanis and the Children’s Fund. He established the John E. Mayfield Circle K Scholarship Fund in 2015. John died in 2017, but his good works continue. Only members in good standing of Circle K International with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent may apply. The minimum amount awarded will be US$1,400. The exact amount will be determined closer to the award date.
Circle K International Past Presidents’ Scholarship
The Circle K International Past Presidents’ Scholarship was created in 1990 to recognize current club presidents who have demonstrated excellence and dedication to CKI. It is given every year to one current club president (only current CKI club presidents in good standing may apply). The amount awarded will be US$1,000.
