PA Circle K’s District Service Project for 2009-2010 is Helping the Homeless. Throughout this year, students will go out and serve not only those who are homeless but also the hungry and those living in poverty. Fellowship will be a huge part of the service project because we will have many opportunities to actually work directly with those we are serving.

Some ideas to get your club started include:
- Helping at a soup kitchen
- Collecting nonperishable foods (you can have a
contest at your campus with other clubs) - Collect clothes, toys, and toiletries to donate
- Help out at a homeless shelter
- Work the Habitat for Humanity
- Have an Oxfam Hunger Banquet to educate people
- Go somewhere, like the Salvation Army, and help
sort donated items - Make fleece blankets and donate them to a shelter
- Hold a Box City event (you stay out in a box for the
day or over night to raise money and awareness) - Make little craft kits to take to children staying in a
shelter - Hold a holiday party for the kids or adults at a local
shelter - In the beginning of the school year put together backpacks filled with
school supplies to take to a local shelter or school to give a to a child or
children who would otherwise have to go without
There will be more many more ideas to come as the year goes along. Do not forget to work with other Circle K clubs and members of the Kiwanis Family.
